Every year, there is less joy in my life,
Why this is so I cannot say,
I just know that it is,
That it sucks,
Why this is so I cannot say,
I just know that it is,
That it sucks,
Every year, I see my closest friend less and less,
Why this is so I cannot say,
I just know that it is,
That I miss him terribly,
Why this is so I cannot say,
I just know that it is,
That I miss him terribly,
Every year, there is more regret in my aching past,
Why this is so I cannot say,
I just know that it is,
That I hurt in a secret place,
Why this is so I cannot say,
I just know that it is,
That I hurt in a secret place,
Every year, I am one step closer to the grave,
This is how it should be,
The way of all things,
Death awaits like a long-lost lover–
This is how it should be,
The way of all things,
Death awaits like a long-lost lover–
