Yes
There was a
Once upon a
Time
When we all smiled
And were content
To see the
World though
A lovers eyes
A child's
Realized
That we can't
Leave this earth
Or move on
Unless we left
It far better
For our kids
Standing in the light
Of what we did
For the sake
Of others
And we
Well
"Us"
Man-kind
Woman-kind
These small
Finite creatures
Limited beings
Supposedly
Created in the
Image of God would simply
Be happy, be thankful
Stare off into the
Sunset or at the
Magnificence of the
Stars in the night
Sky looking
For meaning
And it
That
Is what
We have lost
Something
Fucking beautiful
Something
Fucking true
And real
Never
To be seen
Again
