Blur by Tony Pena

I wore my glasses
to sleep on the sofa
again , an absolute
wonder the wire didn’t
mangle, but the weight
of a world worn tight
like skin still not finding
solutions as my dreams
continue to bleed
time and confound
in elaborate plays
of ill preparation.




Tony Pena was selected as 2017-2018 Poet Laureate for the city of Beacon, New York.
