Bars are a bad place for a fight

sharps & blunts at every turn

as many enemies as friends

someone quick to call cops


Bars are a great place to start a fight

enough booze to drop the leash

dim details yawped above the din

pressure to push a brain to pull

another body into fists


Parking lots

the outside stepped into

dirty puddles

the only thing

quivering

at my feet
