Courage. by J.J. Campbell

two inches
of rain in
less than
24 hours

your best
friend is
praying
to die

and your
mother
is not far
behind

courage
is the last
thing you’ll
ever find
in this
room

one drug
for the
arthritis

another
for your
heart

yet another
for your
diabetes

they all
go down
better
with
alcohol

J.J. Campbell (1976 - ?) was raised by wolves and is currently trapped in suburbia.
