Dream Time. by Ian Lewis Copestick

You must know it
I know it
That amazing feeling
 Better than sex
Better than any drink or drug
Your eyelids flutter
BAM !
You're ( half) awake again
Struggling, slowly surfacing
Back to reality
Now, you know
That you are still half asleep
But
For 5,10, maybe even 15
Seconds
You feel like the King Of The World
You've got the Pullitzer
The Nobel
You have just been proclaimed
The best poet
The greatest thinker
Of the age
And
You've just been to bed with
The most beautiful woman
In the world to celebrate
 But .....
Shake, struggle
Struggle, shake
Bang !
You're back down to earth
The bedside lamp is still on
You've just finished a long
Long night shift in a factory
Never mind
Drain the glass by the bed
Turn over

It won't be long
