a cold look in the mirror each morning by J.J. Campbell

the older i get
the longer the
depression
stays with
me

i used to be
able to drink
it away

smoke it away

fuck it away

now, it’s a
cold look in
the mirror
each morning

asking yourself
why god hates
you and realizing
your father never
loved you and
died happy
about it

your greatest
revenge is
having every
possible child
with his dna
aborted
