WHAT THE NOVEL SHOULD'VE BEEN ABOUT by Dan Flore III

I saw this book in the thrift store
it was called The wine of solitude
or something like that
I was hoping it was about
a very sexual woman
drinking wine all day
in her big house
by herself
in a dress
she'd been wearing for three days
barefoot and doing nothing
but the novel was really about
some war and some family going through it
like all novels are
I really wish it was about her throwing
wine bottles at stray dogs
smoking cigarettes
and watching her beautiful neighbor's
butt jiggle as she adjusted the wedgie
in her bikini bottom entering the pool next door
then getting really pissed at the neighbor
for sleeping with her ex-husband
even though she was never married
she'd suck on peeled bananas
then smash and smear them all over her face
like she just got a facial from some fantasy cowboy
and she'd be wasting her life
just to waste it
then the reader would think
something was going to happen
apart from her boredom
when she decides she will find
someone and become their concubine
but the great thing is this never happens
she just walks around the house
drinking wine and thinking things up like
washing her dirty feet in the bathtub
and rewarding herself for doing it
with masturbating
but she never bothers
she just decays and decays away
which is something I could've
related to
