All dressed up
in bonnets,
crinoline,
and patten leather
at two and five
my sister and I find
hidden
in the back yard
a dozen colored
eggs and two
bottles
which mama
snatches
out of our baskets
and pours
the stinking liquid
that smells
like daddy
down the drain.
