When You Fall By Skaja Evens


You never know how you’ll break


A million tiny pieces, perhaps

Microscopic

Invisible glass

Crumpled

Impossible to repair


Or,


In shards, large

Jagged

Vicious

Resilient

Incompletely mended


In either case

Parts of you are lost

You’re never the same
