A Simple Message By Christian Ward

The whisky sunset

caramelising the sky

is more beautiful

than our love ever was.

Pass a cold one

to remind me

there is more to life

than cancer

or your body

lighting up like a map

of California wildfires

after a break-up.

Let every cell

savour the malt,

the fermentation,

the time spent in moments

beautiful like a whisky sunset.
