"Bring It On Home To Me" by Matt Amott

She wanted to spend
the day walking
around the city
but the rains came.
Instead, we took shelter
in the nearest dive,
ordered drinks
and commandeered
the jukebox.
For hours
we complimented
and debated
our favorite bands
while the sounds
of pouring drinks,
music and the storm
outside swirled
all around us.

The moment
was perfect.

No-
it was better than perfect,
It was Sam Cooke
Live At The Harlem Square Club

perfect.
