stray cats By John Grochalski

the cats

in the alleyway

 

fight and fuck

and cry into the void

 

while i sit

drunk on the couch

 

pouring myself

vodka and wine eternities

 

hoping the tears won’t come

 

but knowing that

tomorrow morning

 

sure as hell will.
