On the day after the election
Patty went down to our coffee shop
where Ken, the owner, had brought in
a bottle of bourbon for those
who needed it, he said. Patty had
a couple of slugs for her anxiety
and then a couple of espressos
to get her day moving towards
something tangible, something
beyond our big fat burst balloon.
