Holy are the damned,
who walk into
the fray
with a whistle,
a ham sandwich
and no hope
of survival.
Clocking in
and out
with the simple
thought
of a happy hour
that lasts
just long enough
to allow them
to forget
that tomorrow
they’ll do it
all over again.
